Awards Categories 2023

The IAB Hong Kong Digital Awards are open to all creative, design, or media agencies, advertisers, independent parties, media sales houses, technology providers, vendors, platforms, IAB HK members, and non IAB HK members.

Entrants can start registering from 1 September 2023. Entrants can also enter one or several cases in one or several categories according to the campaign objective.

 

*Please note: All work, including global and regional campaigns, must have been presented to the public in Hong Kong between 1 August 2022 - 20 December 2023.

1. Best Use of Adtech & Programmatic AdvertisingBest Use of Adtech & Programmatic Advertising

This award recognizes outstanding programmatic advertising campaigns that effectively optimize performance, conversions, customer engagement, and return on investment (ROI). Entrants are expected to showcase their proficiency in leveraging programmatic advertising strategies to achieve impressive campaign and business results while maintaining a seamless user experience.

2. Best Branding CampaignBest Branding Campaign

This award recognizes campaigns that effectively establish a meaningful connection between the brand and its audience, thereby elevating brand love. Entrants are required to demonstrate the significant impact their campaign had on the brand and provide evidence of improved brand metrics such as awareness, equity, and favorability.

3. Best Use of CommerceBest Use of Commerce

This award recognizes campaigns that effectively leverage digital technology to drive a cohesive commerce strategy. Eligible entries should demonstrate the use of one or more e-commerce tactics, such as social commerce, media commerce, and other forms of online sales, in conjunction with promotional strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness. Entrants should showcase how their campaign optimizes the consumer journey while achieving sales, web traffic, user engagement, and customer loyalty goals.

4. Best Use of Content Innovation Best Use of Content Innovation

This award recognizes campaigns that utilize innovative content to bridge the gap between the brand and its audience. The campaigns may include various forms of content, such as video, influencer marketing, social media marketing, branded content, and AR/VR technology, among others. Entrants are expected to showcase how their campaign uses content to create value for the brand, drive consumer engagement, and deliver notable business results.

5. Best Use of Data & InsightsBest Use of Data & Insights

This award recognizes campaigns that effectively use data and analytics insights to build strategies and attain valuable business outcomes. The data used may include a brand's first-party CRM data, third-party data, or data in partnership. Entrants are expected to demonstrate how data and insights supported the success of their campaign and provide evidence of the business results achieved.

6. Best Use of MartechBest Use of Martech

This award recognizes initiatives that demonstrate the most innovative use of marketing technology (Martech) to achieve significant business results. Martech refers to the tools and technologies that marketers use to automate, streamline, and measure marketing efforts to benefit the overall consumer journey. Entrants are expected to showcase how their Martech initiative successfully optimized and personalized the customer experience, enhanced the overall marketing performance, and achieved outstanding business results.

Best Digital Campaign of the Year Best Digital Campaign of the Year

The winner of Best Digital Campaign of the Year must be a Gold winner in one of the six categories and the judge lead of each category will vote and select the winner of this prestigious award. There will be no submission required for this category.
